Photo Group List - Group shot planning for your photographer
Decide in advance who you want in each group photo, and hand your photographer a printed list. Nobody gets left out.
Group photos are one of the most common bottlenecks at a wedding. Right after the ceremony everyone wants to congratulate you, your photographer has no idea who anyone is, and afterwards you discover there is no photo with your grandmother. The Photo Group List prevents exactly that: you decide the line-ups in advance, pick the exact people from your guest list, and your photographer gets a printed list with names on it. They do not have to guess, and you do not have to hold anything in your head on the day.

One click gives you a print view containing only the list: navigation, buttons and the chat bubble all disappear. You can save it as a PDF.
Ordered the way you will shoot
Groups appear in the order you created them. A sensible order - starting with the oldest relatives, for example - speeds the whole process up considerably.
Notes for the photographer
Add a note to any group: where it should happen, who needs to be called separately, or which grandparent cannot stand for long.
How to use it

Open the Photo groups page
You will find it in the dashboard dock under the More button, named Photo groups.

Create a group
Type the group name - for example 'Bride's immediate family' or 'University friends' - and press New group.

Pick the guests
Click 'Pick guests', then tap names to add or remove them from the group. Selected guests are highlighted.

Set the duration
Give the group a number of minutes. In practice a group of four to six takes three to five minutes; a fifteen-person extended family is closer to eight or ten.

Print it for your photographer
Use the Print button in the top right for a clean, list-only view. Hand it over before the day, not on the morning itself.
Pro tips
Start with the oldest relatives. They tire first, and the photo matters most to them.
Nominate a wrangler - usually a witness or sibling - who knows the faces and can gather the next group while the current one is being shot.
Do not plan more than ten to twelve groups. Beyond that guests scatter and the shoot spills into dinner.
Add two minutes per group for gathering people. Group photos rarely take long to shoot; finding everyone is what takes the time.
If your wedding spans multiple days, schedule group photos for the day when the most guests are present.
Frequently asked questions
Why not just tell the photographer on the day?
Because right after the ceremony it is chaos: everyone is congratulating you, guests drift away, and you are focused on the moment rather than on logistics. With a list handed over in advance, your photographer can run the process themselves.
Do I need to assign every guest to a group?
No. Only add the line-ups you genuinely want a separate photo of. Wide shots and candid photos happen anyway.
How long should group photos take in total?
Twenty-five to forty minutes is realistic at most weddings. The app shows the running total, so you find out in advance if you have over-committed.
Can the photographer see guest contact details?
No. The printed list contains only names, groups and your notes.
Can I edit the list in the days before the wedding?
Yes, any time. If someone drops out, remove them from the group and print it again.
