Wedding Gift Registry - Let Guests Claim Gifts Without an Account

The Gift Registry module solves duplicate gift giving without requiring your guests to create accounts anywhere. You build the list; guests visit your share link, see what is still available, and claim an item in seconds. You see who claimed what on your dashboard.

What it can do

Gift and cash fund items

Add physical gifts (appliances, decor, experiences) or cash fund contributions. Guests can contribute partial amounts to funds.

Category organization

Organize items by Home, Experience, Cash fund, Charity, or Other. Categories help guests browse by interest.

Claim tracking

See exactly who claimed each gift and when. The claimer's name and optional message appear on your dashboard only - not to other guests.

Surprise protection

Other guests only see a 'Claimed' badge - they never see who claimed it. The element of surprise is preserved.

Received confirmation

After the wedding, mark each claimed gift as received. Keep a clear record of what arrived and what still needs following up.

Share link integration

Enable the Gift Registry tab on any share link. Guests access it with no account - just your link.

How to use it

    Add items to your registry

    Click 'Add item', enter a title, choose a category, add an optional price and link to the product, and save. Repeat for every gift idea.

    Add cash funds

    Toggle 'Cash fund' for items like a honeymoon fund or charity donation. Set a maximum number of contributors so multiple guests can chip in.

    Enable the registry on your share link

    Go to Settings > Share links. Toggle 'Gift Registry' on any share link. Guests who open that link will see an Gifts tab.

    Guests claim via your link

    A guest opens the link, browses the list, clicks 'Claim', enters their name and optional message, and submits. No account required.

    Track and mark received

    On your dashboard, click any item to see its claim details. After the wedding, use 'Mark received' to confirm gifts have arrived.

Pro tips

  • Include a mix of price points. Not every guest has the same budget, and smaller items go fast.

  • Add product links for physical gifts so guests can purchase the exact item you want - reduces the chance of colour or model mismatches.

  • For cash funds, write a warm description explaining what the money will go toward. It increases contributions significantly.

  • Share the registry link separately from your RSVP link if you want different groups to see different things.

Frequently asked questions

Do my guests need to create an account to claim a gift?

No. Guests only need your share link. They enter their name to claim - no registration required.

Can two guests accidentally claim the same gift?

No. Once a gift is claimed (or a cash fund hits its max contributors), the Claim button is replaced by a 'Claimed' badge. Concurrent claims are handled safely.

Can guests see who else claimed something?

No. Guests only see whether an item is claimed or available. The claimer's identity is only visible to you on the dashboard.

Is the registry visible on all share links?

Only on links where you have enabled the Gift Registry permission. You can create different links for different audiences.

Can I remove an item after it has been claimed?

Yes, but this also removes the claim record. It is better to leave claimed items visible so guests know what is taken.
