Multi-day wedding planning - Separate days, guests and seating
Civil ceremony on Friday, reception on Saturday? Add the days, then mark which one each guest is coming to.
A growing share of weddings no longer fit into a single day. Some couples hold the civil ceremony separately, some organise a whole weekend for close family, and some put a day between the church ceremony and the reception. Most planning tools only understand one date, so the second day either falls out of the plan entirely or ends up in a notebook. In Wedding Co-Pilot you can define the days of your wedding, and from that point on your guest list, seating chart and headcounts all become day-aware.

As many days as you need
Add days with a name, date and venue - for example 'Civil ceremony', 'The big day', 'Farewell brunch'. You control the order.
Per-guest day assignment
For each guest you can mark which days they are attending. Guests who come to everything need no configuration at all - that is the default.
Headcount per day on the dashboard
Below the guest metric you get a per-day breakdown of confirmed guests. This is the number your caterer and venue actually need.
Seating rooms tied to days
In the seating planner every room can be assigned to a day. The day filter then shows only the venues relevant to that day.
Day filter on the guest list
Filter the guest list by day, and a badge on each row shows which days that guest attends - but only where it differs from the default.
How to use it

Add your days
Go to Settings and find the 'Wedding days' section. Give each day a name and a date, then press Add day.

Mark who comes to which day
On the Guests page, open a guest for editing. Under 'Attending days', tap the days. If you select nothing, the guest attends every day.

Assign rooms to days
On the Seating page, choose the day when creating a new room. 'All days' is the right choice when the same room is used across several days.

Check the per-day headcount
The breakdown appears on the dashboard under the main metrics. Give this number to your caterer, not your total guest count.

Filter by day while planning
Switch the day filter on the guest list and in the seating planner when you want to focus on one day. The other day will not get in your way.
Pro tips
Name your days the way you would describe them to guests. 'Civil ceremony' or 'Sunday brunch' communicates far more than 'Day 1'.
An empty day selection means the guest attends EVERY day. So you only need to mark the exceptions - which is usually a handful of clicks.
Always take catering numbers from the per-day breakdown. A total guest count is misleading for a multi-day wedding and leads to expensive over-ordering.
If a guest is only coming to the second day, send them a separate RSVP link so the invitation wording matches.
For a single-day wedding, do not add any days - the interface then behaves exactly as before, with no extra filters.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to add days if our wedding is a single day?
No. If you add no days, nothing changes: the day filters and the per-day breakdown never appear. The feature only activates when you actually need it.
What happens if I do not mark any day for a guest?
They attend every day. This is a deliberate default: most guests are there throughout, so you only mark the exceptions.
Can I make a separate seating chart for each day?
Yes. Each room can be assigned to a day, and the day filter lets you work on them separately. The same guest can sit at a different table on the second day.
Is the timeline also split per day?
The Timeline module already handles the day before, the wedding day and the morning after. Linking your own custom days to the timeline is the next development step.
Can I change the days later?
Yes. Days can be renamed and deleted at any time. If you delete a day, rooms assigned to it revert to 'all days' and guest assignments update accordingly.
