Packing lists - What to bring to the venue, the honeymoon and the road

Three prefilled lists with the usual essentials. Check them off, so nothing surfaces missing on the morning of the wedding.

The morning of the wedding is too late to discover that the spare tights are still at home, or that nobody brought a makeup touch-up kit. Packing usually gets left to the last minute, and it is exactly the small things that get missed - the ones the day actually depends on. The Packing lists module gives you three prefilled templates - wedding venue, honeymoon and travel - that you can check off and extend. The lists live in your account, so you can open them on your phone while you pack.

What it can do

Three ready-made templates

The venue list starts with twelve items (rings, emergency sewing kit, spare tights, makeup touch-up kit and friends), the honeymoon with ten, travel with eight. You never start from a blank page.

Content in your language

Templates are populated in the language of your interface, with items that actually make sense in that context rather than a machine translation.

Check off while packing

Every item can be ticked, and the list header shows how many are done. Packed items appear struck through.

Add your own items

The template is only a starting point. Add your own items at any time, and delete the rows that are not relevant to you.

Multiple lists at once

Create custom lists too - for your witnesses, or for the day-after gathering. Switch between lists using the pills at the top.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Open the Packing page

You will find it in the dashboard dock under the More button, named Packing.

  2. 2

    Pick a template

Tap Wedding venue, Honeymoon or Travel. The list is created instantly, prefilled with the usual items.

  3. 3

    Review and tailor it

Delete what is not relevant and add what is missing. Your own items behave exactly like the template ones.

  4. 4

    Tick items as you pack

Open the list on your phone and tap items as they go into the bag. Tapping the text works too, not just the checkbox.

  5. 5

Create a separate list if needed

Use the Custom list button to make as many lists as you like - for your parents, or for the day-after plans.

Pro tips

  • Share the venue list with whoever carries the emergency bag. Usually a witness or bridesmaid keeps it with you throughout the day.

  • Review the honeymoon list at least a week before departure. Passport expiry dates and required vaccinations are not last-minute matters.

  • Add a 'Day after' list too: change of clothes, phone charger, painkillers. The morning after catches a surprising number of people unprepared.

  • Comfortable evening shoes are the most frequently skipped and most appreciated item on the venue list.

  • If your wedding spans several days, make a separate list per day - you pack differently for a civil ceremony than for a weekend away.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the template items?

Yes, all of them. The template is just a quick starting point so you do not begin from a blank page. You can delete, add, and rename the list itself.

Can I use the lists on my phone?

Yes, and they are specifically optimised for it. Tapping anywhere on the item row ticks it, so you do not have to hit a small checkbox.

Can I share a list with someone?

Right now lists live in your own account. Shared-link access to packing lists is planned for a future release.

How many lists can I create?

As many as you like. On top of the three templates you can add any number of custom lists.

Do the lists disappear after the wedding?

No. They stay in your account, so you can reuse them for the honeymoon or a later trip.
