This page shows in one place how to request a copy of your data and how to delete your account and the data attached to it. The full legal background is in the Privacy Policy - this guide covers the practical steps.

This document is available in Hungarian and English. In case of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version prevails, except where the English version is more favourable to a Consumer.

1. Exporting your data

In shortBefore deleting, you can download your data from Settings at any time, in a machine-readable format.

After signing in, the Settings page lets you request a full export in JSON and a separate CSV export of your guest list. The export starts immediately and does not depend on your plan. It supports your right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR and the broader data extraction right in Section 20 of the Terms: it covers the data you entered and the structured data derived from it, but not the Service's software, interface or internal operational logs.

Export before you delete: account deletion is permanent, and once it has run we cannot restore the data.

2. Deleting your account in the app

In shortYou can delete the account yourself at the bottom of the Settings page - no email needed. It also cancels an active monthly subscription.

After signing in, account deletion is at the bottom of the Settings page; you confirm it by typing a confirmation word. Deletion removes the account and the wedding data connected to it, including where applicable: the wedding profile, guest and RSVP data, seating, budget, tasks and timeline, vendor records, guest page content, uploaded documents and files, uploaded photographs and photo collections, and co-planner access.

Subscription. Deleting the account also cancels an active Pro or Planner subscription, so no further charge is made. If the cancellation cannot be completed at that moment for a technical reason, we cancel it manually; if you see a charge after deleting, write to us and it will be refunded. Invoices and billing records are not affected by the deletion.

After deletion we remove the data from our active systems without undue delay, except where a statutory retention obligation applies (for example accounting records for 8 years from the invoice date) or the data is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Technical logs expire within at most 90 days, and copies temporarily present in the encrypted backups disappear at the latest 6 months after deletion. 3. Deletion request by email

In shortIf you cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email - we respond within one month.

If you cannot access your account, write to hello@yourweddingcopilot.com with the subject "Data deletion", where possible from the email address connected to the account. If you no longer have access to that address, say so in your message.

Because deletion cannot be undone, we may ask for additional information where reasonably necessary to confirm that the request comes from the account holder - no more than that purpose requires. Until we can verify the request, we cannot carry out the deletion.

We handle the request without undue delay and in any event within one month of receipt. Where necessary because of the complexity or the number of requests, this may be extended by up to two further months; we tell you about the extension and the reasons within the first month.

4. If you appear as a guest on someone's list

In shortThe couple is the controller of guest data - contact them first, but you can also write to us.

If you are not a user but appear on someone's guest list, the couple who entered your information is generally the controller of that guest data, and we act as their processor under the Article 28 GDPR arrangement. Please contact the couple first: they can correct or delete your details directly in the Service.

If that is not practical, write to us at the address above. We forward the request to the couple and assist them, and where the law requires or allows it, we take appropriate steps to restrict or delete the data ourselves.

Photographs. If you appear in a photograph uploaded to a wedding photo collection, you can ask the couple running the collection to remove it, or contact us at the same address. A photograph can be hidden or deleted without deciding anything about the couple's purposes, so we may take that step ourselves without undue delay and inform the couple.
